Supporting Peace Athletics

To keep our athletic program from becoming a pay to play program, we rely on ticket and concession sales throughout the sport seasons.  We also have our annual golf outing to help raise funds.  If you would like to help support the athletic program, you can participate in our golf outing or you may donate with the Paypal (available soon).  Thank you for all your support.

S.K.I.L.L.S Basketball Camp

Matt Bauer and Eric Hagenow will again be running the S.K.I.L.L.S. Basketball Camps around the state of Michigan and one camp in Ohio.  Since 1995, these camps have provided children with the opportunity to learn the skills for basketball and life.  The camps emphasize the importance of good sportsmanship, Christian ethics, and proper attitudes towards coaches, winning, losing and hard work.  Coaches are taught to instruct through positive reinforcement and use solid, simple techniques to facilitate learning.  See the link for the registration form.

WHAT BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE IS ALL ABOUT

In the videos section is a speech given by Kirk Cousins, senior quarterback at MSU, at the Big Ten’s annual media day a few years back. It is a speech we think all student-athletes should hear in order to understand what being a true student-athlete is all about. It truly is a privilege that brings a special responsibility. We hope that you enjoy it and learn from it.

Peace Athletic Association annual Golf Outing

Thank you to all who supported and participated in this years Panther Prowl.  The outing raised just over $3,000 for the Athletic program.  We look forward to the The 9th annual Panther Prowl which will take place on June 8, 2018 At Saw Mill Golf course.  If you are interested in helping plan for the golf outing or would like to sponsor, please contact Keith Trent at ktrent@peacesaginaw.org.
