Return to Worship

Coming Back

Based on the expertise of health professionals, government officials and others, we believe we can safely return to in-person worship as long as we all practice safety and social distancing measures.

To adhere to safety protocols, we are currently allowing up to 100 people at every 9am and 11:15am Sunday service, and reservations are required by calling the church office at 793.9025. You MAY now leave a voicemail to make your reservation.

When you call, please be prepared to give the names of people within your own household who will be attending, and your service time preference. You may make reservations for your own household only.

Safety and Social Distancing

First and foremost: Please do not attend if you do not feel well or have been around someone who is sick.

Please wash and sanitize your hands prior to arriving. Masks are required for attendance, and must be worn throughout the entire service.

Social distancing markers throughout the Adams Campus and in the sanctuary will help us maintain safe distances from one another.

We have removed all materials and cushions in pews to cut down on contamination possibilities. Pews and other areas, as well as touchpoints, are cleaned and sanitized after each service.

COVID-19 and Peace

We at Peace have been blessed with advice and consultation from our own member Thad Wolfram, an invaluable resource on infectious diseases. Thad holds an MS in Medical Microbiology and Respiratory Infections and currently serves as Executive Director at PPD, a leading global contract research organization providing comprehensive, integrated drug development, laboratory and lifecycle management services. He has prepared this video for Peace members about how COVID-19 affects our return to worship at Peace.

While You’re Here…

Please come with joy and excitement, but also with love and concern for your neighbor.

Upon your arrival at Peace, please park in our north lot (the west lot will be closed). Doors will open 15 minutes prior to service start. Please avoid congregating anywhere on our Adams Campus, and follow social distancing as marked throughout the campus. Enter and exit the main doors off Adams Avenue.

Sit only in pews that are clearly marked as open; only members of the same household may disregard seat markers in order to sit together. Please refrain from any personal contact (hugs, handshakes, etc.).

Communion will continue to be offered at drive-thru events but not during worship services for now. Offering plates will not be passed; please use offering slots on the walls at sanctuary entrances and/or continue to utilize online giving.

Children must remain with parents/guardians during the service. No Sunday Bible Club or child care/nursery will be offered, and kids will remain seated in pews during the children’s message.

Please reserve use of the gymnasium bathrooms for emergencies only; drinking fountains will be unavailable. All non-worship areas of the building will remain closed.

Worshiping Online

Live-streamed worship services are an increasingly important and fast-growing ministry at Peace.

Just as we offered live-streamed services before the pandemic, we will continue to offer our services online even as in-person worship resumes. We sincerely want you to worship where you feel safest and most comfortable. No one should feel guilty about not being ready to return in person at this time. If you are worried about returning right now, take your time and worship with us from your home until you feel ready.
